2026 Spring Select Calendar
November 1: Registration opens.
November 15: Manager applications are due. Once a manager is approved, we will post all approved managers' names on the Navajo website.
November 29: Registration closes.
January 3: Select (only) workout *Intended for players not already committed to a team
January 10: Select Player Acceptance Forms available on the Navajo Website.
January 10: Rec Player Evaluations (6u does NOT evaluate)
January 11: Recreational Season Manager Draft meeting
January 12: Practices may begin
Select vs. All-Stars
Select program participation does NOT guarantee selection for an All Star team. While it will provide your player with skills required for All Stars and is designed to be a competitive experience similar to All Stars, participation in Selects in no way secures a position on an All Star team.
Likewise, players who do not participate in Selects will in no way be discouraged from or ineligible to play on an All Star team. All Star selection is completely independent from Selects.
Select Managers
Select managers are responsible for the overall operation of their team. This includes, but is not limited to, team selection, coordination of practices, lineup construction, playing time allocation, selection of coaching staff, and communication with the League and team parents.
Interested managers are expected to have experience with competitive softball.
Coaches are expected to attend all practices, games and tournaments. Players must be registered for the Fall season and be in good standing.
Assistant coaches will be selected by the team manager and must be approved by the Board.
Players are expected to exhibit a higher than average knowledge of the game, athletic ability, skill, commitment level and positive attitude.
Select Fees
Select fees will be determined by the number of tournaments and friendlies played.
Fees include jersey, tournament registrations, umpire fees and game balls.
Teams will be allowed to fundraise up to the tournament registration fee amount.
Fundraising will be reconciled at the end of the Select season.
Any surplus funds will be donated to the league.
